Isn't it now much more difficult to figure out if certain components are or are not maintained? ConsoleKit was used in many commercial linux distributions and still wasn't maintained, now that its part of systemd and systemd is ma

I am not in any camp. I do think that systemd is very useful but have concerns that they simply don't have the man power to maintain that broad feature set and scope they have set themselves. What previously would be done in multiple d

Well, you could use certbot ( https://github.com/certbot/certbot , see https://certbot.eff.org/docs/using.html#dns-plugins ), which is from EFF, so not exactly third party, to do that.

Thx for the reply, but it doesn't really answer the question: Why is the French government so uniformly for this reform and why are there no demonstrations against this in France, while at the same time in Germany this is a pretty divi

What I find odd about the protest against this is that it is mostly coming from Germany. Why is France not protesting against this more?

Well it might be fast, but Java/Scala doesn't sound like it is very compact and easy to deploy. It results in a ~10MB jar file + the java runtime.

If the issue the user has found is in the driver, then redirecting them there or maybe sending an automatic email for each unique issue to the driver mailing list might help fix the issue without much effort on the game dev side.
