There is a difference between always reaching a winning state or getting stuck without any resolution. I think its important that there is no state were you just get stuck, you should at least have a game over sequence, so that you know you

Then you could say that just using void-pointers in C that C is also dynamically typed.

No not really. Vala has an own seperate transpiler that generates C code from Vala code. Cello uses the normal C preprocessor to generate C code.

Great work with KOReader! I tried KOReader on my Kobo Glo some time ago. But I think there was a problem that it always froze after some time. Never had the time and opportunity to further analyze it to give a good bug report. I really shou

Yeah, I should try KOReader on it at some point. Should work. Problem is just Pocketbook has own proprietary modules to load the touchscreen and display drivers, but that is just kernel space. I am not sure if that is even GPL compliant.

Missing directory browser and forcing to use their library. Good luck having a few thousand books on it. Oh and of course old kernel, security bugs, spying, etc.

Cool. Will try it out. I can also recommend the Pocketbook Touch Lux 3 for hacking. Changeable buildin microsd card, Allwinner A13 Soc and pins for serial connection. Only problem with it is touch and display controller. AFAIK they don'

I would say a he meant a "beginner of gnome 3". But I have given gnome 3 a fair chance and was quite happy with it for a while, but then I updated it and all my addons and themes were no longer usable. That annoyed me and I change

I got a couple of other frustrations I have with gnome 3: - No categories in the 'menu'. Sometimes I don't know the name of the application or just want to explore what is installed. - Wasted screen space everywhere. I have a

I am not a web developer and this kind of grid addressing bewildered me too. Why isn't 0 the left most line as column and the top most line as row. That would make so much more sense, IMO. What could be the reason they haven't don

I think that USB is not the issue here, because you could simply do the same with a Raspberry Pi 1-3 and the Ethernet port. That dhcp is running and assigning addresses while the computer is locked, it the issue IMO.

Another solution would be to disable dhcpcd while the laptop is locked. I think udev is a bit to low level for this. NetworkManager & co. would be the right place IMO. Maybe this could even be considered a security bug with them.

In my slightly sarcastic definition "killing machines" are every machine that causes people to die.

I am not from the US, but they surely have some legislation that makes building and selling killing machines, without at least some government controlled safety checks, illegal.

What does the kernel has to do with this? That is an issue some distributions introduced and they have to deal with it or you should choose one that does a rolling release.

That is the right way to do this. I would really love if Qubes OS would support that, but it's not quite there yet.
