John Gruber is free to tell his side of the story. Anyway, I agree with you that is is time to move. As a listener, I am mainly happy that more and more successful podcast networks appear in the US and elsewhere.

Duly noted, thank you.

Do Gruber, Arment et al. actually get paid for co-hosting such podcast shows? If so, how much can I geek celebrity expect in terms of USD? I had always assumed it was free and easy advertisement for their apps, sites etc.

It is only an explanation from ONE of the parties involved (although following Occam's razor I am willing to believe it).

@dlpasco: You have never received a dime of money for your app. So did you donate your app to the Mule Radio Network? I had never heard of Black Pixel before. Now I know that you (or at least one of your developers) is rather of the lazy ki

@klausa: Wouldn't it be standard practice to remove any references to 5by5, if only for legal reasons?

I supported 'The Talk Show' on 5by5 via Instacast and Flattr. What's the Mule Radio Network's on Flattr?

Speaking of 'asshole', name and logo of the Ass, ehmm, Mule Radio Network are certainly a match! ;)

It would be interesting to know who paid how much of the app development. I hope Dan Benjamin did not get screwed by Gruber, the Mule Radio Network AND Black Pixel …

A major reason is probably nuclear pollution. Nuclear tests have been replaced by radioactive waste and the results of many small and large incidents in nuclear facilities. An accident like Fukushima pollutes the whole planet, not just Japa

Battery life should not be an issue, charging might be one – if you do not use the iPad charger. Sure, charging within 3-4 hours instead of 6-7 hours would be great, however, I got used to charge my iPhone every night and I do now the same

iTunes itself remains a mess. I often change the audio books I sync to my iPhone. In iTunes, I cannot efficiently select audio books since after each click, iTunes pauses for 5-10 seconds including the usual spinning wait cursor. I am wonde

I still miss trial versions. And downloads have recently become rather slow … Reviews are mostly useless except for actual paid apps. Reviews for 'free' apps (usually with ads or in-app purchases) are mostly worthless: http://notes.kateva.

Facebook hasn't my complete phonebook. Following your URL, I get a list of phone numbers of some friends, not my complete phonebook, i.e., phone numbers entered by my friends and not from my phonebook.
