Author of term.js/tty.js[1] here. Nice work. You guys should keep an eye on term.js. The version you're using is slightly old and actually contains a bug (now fixed) wherein all events will become unbound if the reset control sequ

Not many people have heard of it for whatever reason, but what you're describing can be accomplished perfectly well on X11 systems using XCompose: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Accents_on_US_keyboards

Actually, no. I see people posting horrendous stuff with their real names all the time on youtube. I don't think anonymity is what causes these horrible comments: it's more the fact that the internet creates a "barrier" between two people.

I'm not sure about IDE features. The whole reason I use vim in the first place is precisely because it's not an IDE. I don't want integration, I want unix instead. It's the same reason I use dwm for my desktop setup and configure everythi

Omitted </p> tags have always been perfectly conforming in HTML, just not XHTML. The same goes for </li> tags. It's more common than you think for people to omit closing tags for those elements.

Having newlines=line-breaks does not necessitate what I mentioned above. This is actually a common issue across multiple markdown engines, including ones that do not implement github's newline behavior. I suppose you can think of it that wa

I specifically said "robust" kernels for this reason. While I wouldn't call Minix a toy kernel, it definitely was not as robust as Linux after a while into Linux's infancy. I'm guessing it was considered something a single person could prob

Came here to say this. I really think it may have been one person. It was a brilliant idea, and as you all know, it only takes one person to have an idea, but would it really take that much work to implement? Would it really require an el

If your point is, "other currencies suck too", it's not a good one. The entire goal of bitcoin was to be better than these currencies. The writer of this article simply said bitcoin doesn't work as a currency. The fact that there are (unsur

A dark future for HTML. I can't really describe the melancholy I feel when thinking about this. In 10 years, we'll be reminiscing about how the web was once an open platform, and we'll kick ourselves for having said at the time, "I hate DRM
