The issue I am having with design patterns is that they are full of big weird words that doesn't mean anything to a new programmer.

I used to love Dropbox, but nowadays I have little use of it. Sometimes it just stops syncing and reinstallation won't fix the problem. And forcing API upgrade caused a lot of headache for me as a developer.

The headline is overhyping, but the result is surprisingly good given I had a very low expectation. It won't fool anyone, but should be usable for some scenarios.

Thank you. I was really tempted to buy one since people on HN have been saying good things about it. I also had heat issues on a dell laptop years ago, sad to see it's still not fixed.

In this particular case, I am grateful for the early disclosure that I can fix it right now instead of waiting. For a huge bomb like this, I think you really can't blame the messenger.

Can't one just get a paid version without the amazon search? I know it can be uninstalled, but still, feels better that no such thing exists in the first place.

The recent innovation to iOS keyboard is a feature called "Smart Punctuation". When you type the single quote, it will automatically turn into a unicode apostrophe. I am sure many programmers occasionally writing code on iOS are t

People should publish PDF version of a document. But if they send the working copy around, then the history may be helpful for other collaborators. Think of git. They can even merge the changes easily.
