can not agree more! it will be a much better world if we all use utf8 for external string presentation. i don't care about what your app use internally, but if it generates output, please use utf8.

Been there. I can't express how I hate those meetings. The problem is deep. I mean they would have to change the culture, and therefore have to fire off a lot of top managers. Of course, that is never going to happen.

If an application was created to be consumed like fast food, then I would say go for javascript/html/css. If it is created to be used a lot and last long, then I would suggest go native, even just for the sake of saving a few battery bars.
