Most likely, they weren't looking at the A16 needing to support USB3, since it was a phone chip (iPads now running on Mx chips instead), and Lightning didn't support USB3. The USB-C mandate was only a year ago, and I expect they p

Anecdata: my current iPhone is 4 years old, and the previous one is in my kid's hands (7 years old at this point, and going to be replaced by my current one because lack of future updates on that one).

Technically, there was no iPhone 2. There's iPhone, then iPhone 3G, then 3GS. The latter 2 had a plastic back. And aluminum does break. It just doesn't shatter like glass can.

I doubt MacOS, but... the USB-C port on the new ones does support DisplayPort over USB-C, so you should be able to plug it into a dock with all of those. I'm sure there will be experimentation with what that means exactly, but an iPhon

I'm pretty sure the EU said adapter is no longer good enough. The cable included in the box for a couple years has been a Lightning to C cable.

Conveniently, that's actually the case. A USB-C port should provide no power if there's nothing plugged in, and that's sensed by the data connection pairs. However, to support A-C adapters, you can fake it through the normal

The problem is: how well can you interact with a phone the size of a watch? I mean, for some things, yeah, it works fine. But other things? There's a reason why phones have been getting larger (no iPhone Minis anymore). Even Android si

A good portion of why Canada has most taxed property being mortgaged is because of the short terms of the mortgages. You can get a 5-year loan, but that isn't going to be enough to pay off the mortgage. You just end up getting another

My Father in Law got one recently that has a fan to blow the gasket dry after use, so you don't have to have the door left open. There's a small grill on the top of the door that the air exhausts out of. It's something I'

The width of the boat doesn't matter too much, surprisingly. It's mostly the length. From the waterline length you can guess how fast a ship is, regardless of the displacement. It's part of why the rumors that the Nimitz clas

I believe Tailscale re-incorporated from a Canadian company into a US company for various compliance things being easier, but a consequence is that now they have to follow certain US obligations WRT Cuba, amongst others.

One of the key design parameters is the thermal diffusivity of the gas. The greater it is, the deeper the stack can be, and the better it performs. Helium is about 190, while nitrogen is about 22. Next best to helium is hydrogen, but that h
