Dashboards are necessary but not sufficient. As your company grows, you also need to send periodic report summaries to people who can act on them. While you certainly need instant pings (emails/IMs/Tweets) in case of major issues (server do

If you are using backbone and don't need a complex templating engine, just use _.template. It comes free with underscore, which is a requirement for backbone.

Here's another way to deal with this. Upon each successful am-i-logged-in call, the server returns a relogin-as-user-X ID back to the browser (this can continue to be the same cached value or have timestamp/TTL if you want). If since the la

I'd love to integrate it with my KType application ( http://ktype.net ) or build a new software that converts hand gestures / ASL to speech. I think it's totally doable and would be a lot of fun technically too. What do you think?

Having been a beta-tester of DragonDrop from the start, one thing I'd like to add is how important the concept of user-interaction truly is and how Mark really innovated in this regard. Lots of Mark's friends, including myself, suggested us

Keep the $10 bill because it is very commonly used in restaurants ($6-7 meals + tip). Nobody will miss $2 or $50. I personally won't miss any coins except for quarters.
