I feel like you forgot SQLite, and for really small scale you could just use whatever storage/serialization solution comes built in to your favorite language.

I am really curious about how the storage engine works. Would you be willing to explain the idea behind it and how it works?

I guess the interesting thing here is if they are willing to use that as an argument. "You can't sue us because we don't have a license!" I imagine that would make a following case by the actual copyright holders really

Different syntax is easier for different people to learn. So by having languages with many different kinds of syntax programming becomes more inclusive. I have a very hard time reading JS, the single symbol blocks just all bleed together fo

Looking forward to watching that video. But to be honest, Windows is a gaming console for me. My Windows box is hooked up to a 40' tv and has an Xbox controller attached. Work is something I do on a Ubuntu machine.

Just being aware of the risks and counters helps a lot. Most people don't understand the risks beyond "I can get hacked" and because they don't understand the how or basic counters they treat it like a freak weather even

Sure, most side projects could be hosted for $5 month (for a VM) + $10 a year (for the domain). Total cost about $70 a year. However it is clear that a lot of people build on more complicated tech stacks or use cloud services that become ex

No, it’s not hard to figure out what to do when the budget runs out. Preserve data and shut everything else down. So switch off all VMs, but don’t delete the disks. Disable S3 read/write, but don’t delete the data. Etc…

I used to have a lot of bookmarks and I used them a lot to return to stuff, but after half a decade a significant amount of them went no where. So I migrated to using note apps + web clipping or screenshots.
