I'm one of those devs who migrated all of the company sites to Laravel-based CMSes. Waaaay better experience, users are happy, updates are a breeze, and the sites are fast and reliable. WordPress has become so tacky and this drama is e

It's why I said I am curious to see the outcome of this. Will it help the company or damage it? We'll see.

I've been reading Cal Newport's stuff on Deep Work and Digital Minimalism and have some of his other books on my to read list. Considering the stuff he talks about and his new book on slow productivity, this move seems like a real

When I decide to quit software engineering (after I've made enough money I guess), I'm interested to look into microbiology, because mushrooms and fungi are really cool.

I'm with you 100% Maybe I am missing the point, but why would people want to manage their content within their code? It seems incredibly weird and prone to quite messy and unmaintainable code. I wonder if they even looked into headless

I have a Jetbrains AI subscription and I use it mostly to write commit messages. It speeds up my work significantly, but I still have to skim over the generated output to make sure the message is correct. I tried it for code generation and

Looks awesome, I am trying it out :) it's a pity I can't get paid, because Stripe is not available in my country. Maybe add some other options, such as Paddle, to those of us who are located in Africa where Stripe is not available

I've also switched to Affinity back in March, because of the fact that Creative Cloud was becoming too expensive for me and my crappy 3rd world income.

Some games do this too, for example State of Decay, based on what your Steam application language is. It's silly.

I set a schedule every day for myself. In my diary, I set aside 4 hours a day for my university courses, segmenting them into 4 25-minute sessions. Don't overdo it, study smart, not hard. I also do a bunch of online courses on anything
