I owned a 6022BE, and though it wasn't good enough for basic professional duties, I did fall in love with PC scopes. Easy screenshots, a deep buffer, big display, easy data-acquisition. Fits right into the workflow. So many scopes fall

So C is all about the machine, in this case about storage, memory. Other languages emphasize types, whereas C instead emphasizes values and their representation. So a condition or comparison does not result in a boolean, it results in a val

Moore's law added 5 zeroes to the transistor count in 40 years. Deep learning compute does a similar feat in just 5 years. So my uninformed guess is encryption could be cracked before the decade is out, but if not still in most people&

English could be rendered in a 4x3 font (or even 3x3 font).. In this test it'll comfortably beat out any other language. See: https://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/325977/4x3_pixel

This is unique as a single page guide to Rust. It reads like a diff, and is very effective, I'd say, for any programmer.

I agree with your point, comments easily grow out of date, but I see competing tools like doxygen or javadoc being used. Do you have any experience with those? I personally hate them because of the amount of noisy fluff they bring.

This is a nice Forth-style bytecode interpreter, that is easy to generate code for. Close to WASM, but much simpler. The thing that attracts me most is that the bytecode format can be easily translated to a more compact format, allowing it

Anyone has an idea how these cores compare to say SiFive's latest, the P650? The P650 has only 16 cores, but looks like it should be able to compete with the $800 32 core Ampere running at 1.7GHz.

I'd like to mention a thought I had some time ago regarding the idea of using a byte FP format for ML training: instead of describing a byte in a sign/mantissa/exponent format, it might be advantageous to map the byte the 256
