NNW is a fine piece of native software, both on macOS & iOS, and refreshing in the flood of not so native technologies, i. e. middleware. I just hope Fever sync will be added soon.

That’s not really surprising, but people tend to forget about it. In the end somebody has to pay for ops. It’s business as usual, like it was a century ago. There are cases where you can indeed save money by doing more by yourself. But how

Recommending Cliqz that is owned by Hubert Burda, a global media conglomerate which couldn’t care less about your privacy, and where every player is sorely focused on getting a bite of Google’s cake, is also hypocrisy.

Platform coherence, but also look & feel come to my mind. While the guidelines are what the word says, vague guidelines with a lot of room for interpretation, they don’t necessarily dictate any details. When you look at it from a more t

Those two statements contradict somehow. Why wouldn’t Apple be able to switch XML with a Swift DSL and keep the Interface Builder UI intact after most of the biggest SwiftUI issues get fixed?

This works when you manually select the text, but it fails when you want to select by double-/triple-clicking. In this case the selection ends before the word “me”. It’s awkward how easily one can break a basic functionality like selec

I got the same keyboard this month and the only thing I regret is that I didn’t buy it already 9 years ago when I got a Das Keyboard instead (which is still an excellent and fully functioning keyboard, but it has just a regular, rather uner

A Razer Naga MMO mouse [1] has 12 thumb buttons (and a couple of others which are rather hard to reach). They are perfect for cut, copy & paste, and other frequent macros / actions. The vendor software is crap, though, especially o

Not a bad start for a technology that should have costed less. People complain that this is way too expensive, but every new thing costs a lot even if it is “just a bunch of sensors with a display”. The more interesting question is if VR ca

That’s just one side of the coin, though. While the binary tree played a role in the ”death” of the Usenet, services like AOL played another major role. Companies tried to make the internet more comprehensible for the average user and inven
