The lowland sleeper London-Glasgow/Edinburgh isn’t long enough for a good nights sleep in my view.

I took a train from New York to Miami a few months ago, very restful, very civilised, and that was in a roomette, not even a full sleeper.

I had that a couple of months ago. Phone was fine when not connected to car play, location bang on. Soon as I plugged it in it moved my location. Did the same with two other phones. Car play takes the location from the car rather than the p

If people made more money it wouldn’t help You have 100 houses and 200 people wanting to live there. They out of each other until they run out of money Double the wages and it just means they can bid more, and those already owning the house

> My personal rule of thumb is that rents remain fairly stable as a proportion of earnings This is the problem, because supply is artificially constrains if wages double (through efficiencies), rents increase to soak up the extra product

You make $3, rent costs $1, you owe $300, it takes 150 to repay your debt Inflation doubles everything You make $6, rent costs $2, you owe $300, it takes 75 to repay debt The person so wealthy they lent you money loses out, you gain.

Let’s say you have an economy of 100,000 units of work done in a year and thus is backed by a fixed supply of $100,000 You do enough work for 1/100th of the economy and receive $1000. You keep this in a box and do nothing for years. In

Inflation means we value work done in the future more than now. And that’s right. If I do $100 of adding up numbers in 1950 that’s likely worth millionths of a cent in 2025.

Presumably you set your router to intercept all UDP/53 traffic, but remember the whole point of DoH is to prevent that and ensure nothing gets between the advertising surface and the advert source.

Connect it but block traffic at the firewall. Or intercept it all. Traffic shape it, MITM it, etc. The biggest concern to me is built in 5g etc.

Computerised public transport is even more efficient Your public transport with robo taxis takes up far more space in the surface than there is available in a normal city, as shown in this photo. https://danielbowen.com/2012

In a city I don’t take public transport over uber due to the cost but due to the convenience and speed. The only exception is the US, and even then that doesn’t apply in Manhattan.

90% of my use of OpenAI is to avoid the crap of internet search (Google or ddg, even when I find the right page finding the specific part of a pain) At some point chatgpt will become crap and the cycle will repeat

Is this affecting YouTube’s bottom line? I’m sure that creators would like to have a person to talk to, but it doesn’t seem that alphabet needs to provide one. Will they make more money if they did?
