Scott encoding even has a weirder implications (if you're not used to it) if you think about it 0 ≡ λf.λx.x 1 ≡ λf.λx.x (λf.λx.x) 2 ≡ λf.λx.x (λf.λx.x (λf.λx.x)) Or if you allow meta variables in your expression:

Slightly related are Go examples - they're tests, and documentation at the same time. It'd be nice if someone hooks in a listener to automatically collect examples tho

Do you mean syntax? Because if layout, then Gorgonia's tensors are actually flat dense layouts controlled by an access pattern. Gorgonia supports fortran layout as well as C layout. Syntax is a bit painful though.

A bunch of us are trying to change that and make Go the lingua franca for data science and machine learning! The libraries du jour are Gonum ( https://gonum.org ), a numpy/scipy equiv for Go, and Gorgonia ( https://

Can I plug the library that I've been slowly working on (with the help of the Go community): gorgonia - https://gorgonia.org/ It's like TensorFlow and PyTorch had a bastard child. Pure Go. Train your NN like you w

Statically typed? As in Go? I invite you to work on Gorgonia ( https://github.com/gorgonia/gorgonia ). It's written in Go, and neural networks written with Gorgonia has a decent type system ( https://githu

I use post-it notes. My post-it notes underlines the sentence involved generally. Sometimes when re-reading books, I find old opinions or understandings that are no longer correct or opinions I no longer hold. The downside is that my books

from time to time I wonder about the cost benefit of using an eGPU vs just sshfs+EC2's G2xLarge and I don't think there's ever been a time in the past year where it was more worth it to have an eGPU to do ML dev work.

"laki" means man in Malay, but is a synonym for "suami" (husband) in Indon. I assume "lelaki" slipped into Indon lingo after a while (if you read old Malay books, before the 1960s, the word "laki-laki"

Anyone interested in conlangs would do well to study Malay. It is not a constructed language per se, but modern standard Malay (Bahasa baku) underwent a massively interesting standardization phase in the 60s which resulted in a fairly consi

There's always Go - Gorgonia[0] aims to be a Tensorflow/PyTorch replacement. Performance is somewhat comparable (somewhat because it's always in flux as I keep updating it). Heck, it even uses hindley milner type inferences (
