Are there good hosted options that will not respond to non-judicial data requests? Someone is going to say self hosted is better and I don't disagree, but there's limits to how much time I can spend on self hosted stuff.

I suspect more fighting in Lebanon means less oil through Hormuz. Iran kept its definition of "open" vague. Everyone is keeping the pressure up during negotiations.

I suspect this is the real reason behind Anthropic limiting subscriptions to their own products and keeping API prices several times higher than comparable models. Applications more sticky than API users and less technical users more sticky

The nuclear program is orders of magnitude more important than everything else. If you think JCPOA was bad, take a look at Iran's 10 point plan.

Let's not forget the road to war started in 2016 when Trump walked into the White House at withdrew from the JCPOA. He's wanted the war for years, got it, and lost it.

I get where the authors are coming from with these: https://github.com/drona23/claude-token-efficient/blob/main/... But I'd rather use the "instruction budget" on the task at hand. Some, l

Agree it's a thin disguise. It works because the same sword hangs over Trump's head as well. He needs the price of oil to not spike too high so any oil supply is welcome.

Can't wait to see the price of the first US made home router. We [USA] really need a formal designation of trusted supply chain partners. Would improve security and make a useful bargaining chip.

Growth and fewer restrictions on what can be built makes your land more valuable. Apartment buildings in place of detached houses means rent prices can go down while land prices go up.

I'm game for throwing rocks at Apple and Google, but I don't get this one. > consumer apps embed ad SDKs → those SDKs feed location signals into RTB ad exchanges → surveillance-oriented firms sit in the RTB pipeline and harvest

I suspect there's a selection bias from poorly run companies using RTO to cut headcount. Now they can have layoffs and put a positive spin on it with AI.

This is very cool. I wonder if there's a way to control routing client side and remove the list of mac addresses. Eg manage DNS for customers (upsell ad blocking!) and CNAME the unifi entry to a customer specific vhost.

That's fair. I just really don't like the way MCP gives the tool author control of my context. It's worth setting up some env vars and config files to avoid them.

Is there any redeeming quality of MCP vs a skill with CLI tool? Right now it looks like the latter is a clear winner. Maybe MCP can help segregate auto-approve vs ask more cleanly, but I don't actually see that being done.

This is a general thing with agent orchestration. A good sandbox does something for your local environment, but nothing for remote machines/APIs. I can't say this loudly enough, "an LLM with untrusted input produces untrusted
