Surely the cost is not adding the image but in making sure there is a difference between glass and non-glass streams (adding additional frequencies and so on), which would have cost quite a bundle.

There is also a 1-column pdf ( http://kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/paulmck/perfbook/p... ) for those annoyed by the 2-column format. The margins are enormous, but at least you dont have to

It is pointless to talk about bread and rice which exist in all cuisines in the world. Certainly you are welcome to prefer Indian breads but don't say that they taste good because they have sugar/starch. All breads and rice ha

Indian curries do not necessarily have potato or any starch.

This is utter nonsense. A very few cuisines such as Gujarati use noticeable amounts of sugar. A large majority of Indian curries at most have a small amount of sugar, not enough to be discernible to the palate, but helps blend the flavour

Exactly. Evernote and its clones seem to give you the best of both worlds in one product but in practice they do a half assed job of both. It's sort of like the windows vs unix mentality of having one behemoth do everything vs chaini

It seems everybody here loves "To Kill a Mockingbird". To me, it's a well written but ultimately shallow novel. Finch is your typical woman's fantasy man: great at fatherhood, great at his work, morally upright, totally

We download the book. If the pdf is in parts, we will use pdftk etc to join it into one document. We will then move it to a relevant spot in a well organized folder hierarchy, renaming it for consistency if necessary. Then we never open it

Talk of a misleading title. This is not even the journalistic principle, which says if a question is posed in the headline, the answer is "no". The title question is "not even discussed" in the article. Which is ironic,

Facebook is better because you can limit requests to friends of friends. IIRC Orkut didnt have that setting until Fb had already won.

Indian here. One of the biggest problems with Orkut was spam. They did nothing to combat the countless unsolicited "fraandship" requests. A lot of women I know abandoned Orkut early due to the harrassment.
