Credit ratings are BS. It's as if we didn't learn anything from watching the disaster that occurred when the world believed AAA-rated MBSs were sound investments. Don't let someone else tell you what investments are "safe".

I love Google Closure. It's a huge library with tons of different modules. Much different than jQuery which is smaller and lighter but great for DOM selection. You could probably use the two of them together.

If you know someone that works there, tell them you might be interested and ask them to take you to lunch. They'll be happy to as we're trying to find more people. The Irvine office just had an open house. It was the first time we've don

But you're not going to be living there for the entirety of your 30-year mortgage in most cases. What happens when 5-6 years from now, you want to move, but you're underwater and can't pay off the mortgage by selling your house?

I've owned and used two HTC phones and liked both. However, they were extremely different from each other, so just saying do you like an HTC is very broad. From what you've said, I expect you might not like the G1 which is lightweight (th

I think it hurts readability. But sometimes it is nice to skip a null check. i.e. instead of: if (a != null && a.equals(b)) You can often do: if (b.equals(a))

I think it depends upon what that company does with their monopoly. E.g. Microsoft basically has a monopoly in the OS market, which was fine until they unfairly used that advantage to put Netscape out of business. Now they are in trouble
