This is the worry IMO. It's fine to dump it on a server with SQLite, but once you start hitting scaling limits, you're in for a potentially rough migration.

Even then, at that point I'm writing an adapter to convert into UTF-8 JIT in front of my service. Or modifying my program when that contract comes up, but I'm not going to waste time proactively safeguarding against a what-if that

I saw a few clips of this - looks like there is a big vuln somewhere in EAs client/stack. Two different playesr had hacks enabled on their game remotely while in the finals of a private tournament, hosted on private dedicated servers.

They've done that just fine for me by releasing... lame cars across the board. Most of their brands are shells of their former selves (especialllly Cadillac) and I can't remember the last time I saw a Chevy that I actually liked.

Developers aren't forced to write any apps. They write apps where the revenue makes sense. And the revenue makes the most sense on ios for a large share of developers. 95%+ of developers don't care if Apple doesn't allow Epic

I don't know much in this space, but if I'm the US Gov I'm happy that all of the attention is on Pegasus and not other (presumably) tens (hundreds) of similar programs out there.

Hacking the original Xbox + x360 is what I credit as getting me "really into computers" For OG xbox, I was a definition script kiddie but I learned how to use FTP, how to connect via crossover cable, how to solder, the basics of w

Spam isn't the right term here. There is some great computer generated art out there that is absolutely not spam. The signal to noise ratio is what would ruin things IMO. There is a much higher risk when I can easily generate 1k models

Okta was painfully negligent, with CF going as far as posting "recommendations for Okta" because it was their only way to get through to them. I don't love CF, but IMO Okta deserves to be punched down on.

A bit, yes. Rtings has a vested interest to not cover a product that is sold, say, direct to consumer rather than via Amazon affiliate. I still trust Rtings and love the website, but yeah it's totally possible that at some point they l

I think both can be true. Musk is a buffoon in the media and things like X haven't really panned out. But SpaceX is on their stuff well. Both are true, IMO.

Removing appleid from legacy mac and iphone because they don't have the hardware security module. So rather than having a broken imesssage experience on those devices, they decided its better for you to just unregister.

I run my own RaidZ3 server at home. It's rock solid. Uses old surplus hardware and a whole bunch of 8TB drives. Synology is cool but too limited in what it can do for a homserver, IMO.

Agreed with your comment. This is every marketing department on the planet right now, and it's not a bad thing IMO. Can feel a bit forced at times, but it's better than the alternative.
