I didn't say I pushed them in a positive way :) Sometimes they need their heads pounded figuratively. But generally, I talk to them about their goals and ask them if they really want them. Usually the answer is yes. Then I say somethin

Yes it is possible to push it too far the other way. The immigrant culture that pushes academics very hard simply needs to be amended to add on the part of life that is fun. I pushed my kids hard, encouraged them to have fun and enjoy life,

Fortunately, you only have to pay the low price of $20K to get wrongful charges thrown out, or $500K + years of your life for wrongful convictions.

In my university there were so many books that part of the comp sci section was in basically crawl space (I was too tall to enter and had to crawl.) It was such a vivid experience, I can't imagine not browsing books as a student.

Not exactly. The problem is that different models are tuned for different use cases. So I'd expect something like this: $ pip install pymodel-ResNet-1337 #! /usr/bin/env python3 import ai model = ai.loadMo

I think you're onto something. A "pip install" for models. Perhaps "pip install" is sufficient and we just need to start using it.

I don't know about you guys, but I find it really cool that pre-trained models will be part of open source software from now on.

Notice the example you used was 2007. Today's model is 365, everything is a subscription, which works great for offline software: no server to maintain except a static site.

As someone who sells "offline" software, I can tell you customers expect you to be 100% up to date on everything. New Windows feature? Howcome you're not using it! And then they also want to use it on Windows 2K :)

There was even an administration change in between, which means that it is likely whoever followed up on these charges within the US government had their eye on the prize for more than half a decade.

It's not so much "doesn't work" as "people in the insurance business have reasons why they would take advantage to the detriment of consumers"

The thing that really convinced me was when you look at the appreciation of real estate, overall it appreciates by X, but a particular area is not guaranteed to do so. The intention is to have REITs finance my retirement home in the country

These are all true, and as a society should we not support (1) and (2) more than the others? Personally, I invest in REITs, the money I would invest in real estate. These investments cover my rent and more.

I was mildly aware that some acquaintances were familiar with people who kidnapped for ransom. Surprisingly, they were described as normal people.
