Yes we will! We've shipped a desktop client previously with Rust(Tauri) but their api's were a bit lacking. We'll be revisiting it very soon

The problem is maintenance of a separate database and operationally it would be more work. For us who want to use embedding features having a separate database just for the embedding means now we have to keep data across multiple databases

Since this was written about 8 months ago. Our Elixir/Phoenix service has been incredibly stable and I can't think of a single time we had an issue with it.

I guess we aren't aware of any Electron alternatives built with JVM. We started out as a web app so we need something that would bundle web based technology. Besides electron Tauri seemed like it was the next best bet.
