Been using name.com for many years without complaint. Cloudflare is also good if you are already using their DNS and they support the TLD you want.

Using migadu.com for all my email. But I am not tied to them. Just use your own domain. Switching service providers after that becomes pretty easy. A backup of emails in gmail can be downloaded over IMAP and saved offline. Offline searches

All of these can be a replacement in some situations. Vimeo can be a good idea if you don't care about discoverability and just want to put your video on the internet without self hosting. These are google alternatives not 1:1 replac

Same thoughts on youtube being the only hard to replace google service. I have switched to newpipe as the main client for it. It can even mimic chromecast by sending the video to kodi.

This is a pretty useful feature and I have know about it for years. But only started using it a couple of years ago. Since the only google service I use is youtube it gets its own profile. Same for work email and teams which I leave signed

Firefox does DNS over HTTPS now. That should bypass DNS spoofing by any ISP.

Cool idea no doubt. But wouldn't the need for such a thing go down as 4g/3g becomes more pervasive in the cities? I see this being more useful in places where residential and mobile internet are still not the norm. i.e. villages w
