Thank you for the reply. Wouldn't it, somehow, be possible for Google to provide a place where one can go when such problems occur? Maybe paid (in order to scale). As is one feels completely powerless and negative emotions will be caus

If I call it pull request it would be nice if the gitlab ui would have the same name. I see, you won't change, so maybe offer a config option for this name?

Good to see Google spending the money to fix the damage to city streets. Kudos!

Good opportunity to voice my displeasure about the update notifications! Sorry, IT SUCKS! It is really annoying that Firefox forces me to read about complex policy settings to avoid this. I have reasons not being able to update on a certain

If you really want an iPhone or Android alternative you can buy a license (they sell an Sailfish OS for Xperia X or XA2 (you have to bring/buy the device by yourself)) also from non-supported countries: - https://together.

Iirc the first attempt, Gallium, did that. I believe it was technically super ambitious and a bit brittle maybe. It worked with Julia version 0.5. Maybe one time Keno or someone else very capable has time to revive it, I don't know.

And will it also fall in part on the passengers who demand cheap and cheaper air fares? (Not only to the detriment of their own safety but also to further increasing ecological debts).

It's easier for the EU, they don't have many MAX planes. It's likely too early to say something definitive and in times of social medial pressure one conformes if possible.

To explain ROI you really wouldn't had to use terms like 'still part of UK' and, as mentioned, 'ocuppied'. This only distracts.

Germany has immense social costs for migrants, I don't think this is sustainable. There are also many 'single cases' of unwanted consequences (especially for women). Insofar I agree and think this retaliation is not where the

I mentioned Jolla here b/c I thought while email/datadrive security is important, the phone ecosystem is much more so. Jolla (and Librem, anything else?) are an alternative to the Android/iPhone duopoly and should be actively

Don't know. Rostelecom has invested. Seems wise to try to better protect government employees from leaking data from their phones. E.g. not so nice when my Bundeskanzlers (Merkel) phone get spied upon by friends.

Romania receives more funds from EU than it provides. Afaik Switzerland pays large sums to be a Schengen member and associate to the EU. Thus, likely, no worries for Romanian taxpayers...

Nothing to do with branding . Moving off Google has privacy benefits. I'm feeling good because I'm less dissected by one single company.

With Android you suffer privacy intrusions. Unfortunately the market has failed with the dominant iOS/Android options. Regulations to protect consumers are required imo. Apple and Google are too big and have no incentive to fix this on

No, Apple has to observe regulations. If e.g. a bank wants to do business in the US there are (lots of) regulations. If there were the political will to 'open up' the now closed iOS mobile ecosystem, such laws could be written.

There are not only monopoly rules. It seems plausible to me that there could be a rule that mobile phone/computer ecosystems above a certain threshold must grant access to the platform (under reasonable conditions).

I didn't argue this specific case. I said in general, Apple should not be allowed to have such power. (Laws need to be adapted/modernized to cover the current mobile ecosystems) It's my device, if I am fully informed and de

Apple should not have the right to enforce those conditions to begin with. Same as they should not be allowed to kick out apps from their whole platform on a whim. Inacceptable. Such a company should not be allowed to do business in EU. M

Bing or not. For me important is that it is outside Google's reach. This prevents aggregating search (history) with e.g. gmail, contacts, location etc. Also important is, that DDG now works reasonably good in most cases.
