Another great way to improve the environment is biking for trips below 5-10 miles. This carbon offset would do laps around car ownership.

Coronavirus is not influenza. 600-800 thousand deaths in the US so far makes "fairly bad" seem like a bit of an understatement.

Kiting/Powerkiting is pretty cool because you form a hobby around the movement of the air, which often times many of us ignore. Once you start kiting you notice an entire dimension of nature and its quirks.

I’ve been trying Not Milk recently and I’m pretty impressed. Its slightly sweeter than milk, but it seems to work fine with cooking.

How does one stick to any of these systems? I've tried BATF, org-mode, OneNote, and pen/paper. Each of which fail spectacularly due to overload and eventually they just end up being forgotten about long enough to no longer be us

Here's a video that illustrates my point better than what I commented, and there are some studies cited in the description which validate my admittedly anecdotal experience. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fztvoxj_pds

Bike lanes, as implemented in the US are a gift to cars and are down right dangerous. They communicate to drivers that bikes are designated to a lane when they are not. This is the style of lane than runs along the left side of the road w

Produce literally tastes different in the US when compared to other countries. My guess is that these shelf stable varieties which are more bland aren’t used elsewhere.

I’ve seen this posted a lot and I read it as an excuse to throw our hands up and do nothing individually. However culture matters and as we shift our behaviors as individuals, pressure builds on corporate behavior as well. Both through loc

There is also Objects.equals if you don’t want the ambiguity of “==“. The main reason I find myself second guessing this one is if you get used to the convention of other languages and then switch over to java.

You want to live in St Louis then. Not the suburbs but the city of St. Louis. It matches your requirements to a T. Outside St. Louis city county however is the complete opposite.

Americans choose suburbs in droves because the schools are more well funded. Most agree that this tradeoff gets the a far worse commute than if they lived in the city. I have many coworkers who commute 2 hours a day for their glorious bac
