Funny that we choose to make it asynchronously for technological reasons, but it makes sense on a lot of levels. I really am excited to push this to the next level so you could potentially make some real music with it.

Thank you for the positive feedback. If it were any other situation, we would fix the bugs, but we don't get to. :( I am glad you enjoyed it, we are for sure going to improve on it and make it something great.

We had performance issues with the HTML5 audio api, and didn't have time to troubleshoot. Ultimately I would like to support it fully, but we did what worked at the time.

Are you referring to the sounds not appearing after you drop them? If so, that is a known issue, and sadly something we caught too late to fix completely. Luckily when you drop them, even though they don't appear on your end, they are being

Unfortunately we didn't get time to add any private room functionality. Though as an unintended feature, the rooms list doesn't scroll so once it is past the fold users would have to be in there already or know the link.

Depends on what javascript is generated. If it has a similar scenario to what was described in the post, then yeah it would cause problems.

One thing you should check for if your email was compromised is the pop3 forwarding and imap. Attackers will forward your emails to their own accounts using either or both. This makes it very easy for them to retake your account.

I think the main distinction between startup and a non-startup is how and why they are formed. Normal businesses that you would not consider a startup usually have only a few people or one person starting them. They usually take some money,

It is sad how this has been misrepresented. First of all, this was an email conversation between Ryan Dahl and Zed Shaw. That you know. What you probably don't know is that Ryan first posted this tweet [0] about rewriting Zed's http parser.

This is probably the best way they could have handled it. It protects the name from abuse while still allowing enough freedom for those wanting to use it legitimately. They don't call Ryan Dahl a BDFL for nothing.
