Using the halting problem here shows the consequences of the incompleteness theorem pretty well, but I don't think it explains it. This is basically hiding the self-references behind the halting problem black box. I really like this vi

Sometimes they do, but it's a per-university thing. Where there are unions, usually faculty and TAs have different unions. Sometimes one group is unionized and the other is not.

Isn't that basically what "multi-disciplinary" means? Additionally, scientific niches rebranding themselves is a thing that happens, for examples when Computer Science rebranded itself from Mathematics and Electrical Engineer

The thing about crypto is that 50% of crypto is outright scams, 30% is nonsense, 15% is interesting academically but completely useless, and 5% is transformative in a very narrow particular set of circumstances that very few people actually

Oh, of course, but native-image is still a Graal feature, and I was asking about Truffle without Graal.

Of course. Various people have claimed to be Satoshi over the years, but failed to provide any sort of proof. Satoshi could either actually be one of those people, or realize that without proof he would be subject to the same fate.

Well, OK, sure, but Truffle without partial evaluation is just an interpreter written in a very particular way... I see what you mean though, thanks!

Sure, but don't discount all of the JIT optimizations that were implemented in the JVM and the huge number of engineer years invested in that particular implementation/runtime...

I learned most of what I know about Truffle and Graal from your blog posts, so you obviously know more about this than me. However, I was under the impression that Truffle is quite closely integrated into GraalVM, that is, you can't us

Git and secure scuttlebutt use merkle trees and chain blocks cryptographically, so yeah, they technically use a blockchain. In my opinion main difference between "technically use a blockchain" and the term blockchain as used in th
