Honestly, I use python everyday in the ML/AI space. If we're talking in that context they're pretty spot on about python, virtualenvs, and docker.

I'm not sure if the culture changed, but when I worked for a firm it was generally known that if you sit on the bench to long you'll be let go. However, This is likely in correlation to general reduced spending across the board ca

No, all credible ones work by updating "rules" on the fly. That's literally how most laws are made in general. Something bad happens and appointed agencies and legislators rule and/or pass laws to cover that bad thing fr

> marketing budget Do people who would be in a place to make the decision about their companies choice of CRMP really need to be marketed to in order to know about Salesforce? Seems like a wasted budget IMO.

Problem is, in large companies, managers are so focused on short-term outlook they don't really consider or care about long-term implications.

Yes, but they're also trying to eliminate the need for high skilled jobs as well or at least send them to countries where they can pay less.

So coming back, your main problem still seems to be the unresponsiveness of your teammates when you can't force them to respond by being directly in front of them? If you're teammates are really that bad at responding then perhaps

There will always be people who figure out how to coast in or out of the office. Companies aren't that great at identifying hyper-productive employees in any sense. Great team members and management do that all on their own without reg

Don't know about you, but I generally don't speak loud enough that people outside the conversation generally overhear things. Also, word-of-mouth is a absolute horrible strategy to make sure things are shared across a team.
