Well at least they didn't fund neo nazi groups back then. Or arm them with 155mm munitions.

They are all different silicon. Note monster sized Pro die shot pictured. According to wiki, transistor count increased from 16B (M1) to 20B (M2) which is in line with slight increase in GPU units.

It has more to do with that the opinion is so over the top and faulty. Read the commentary if you really aren't sure what's faulty with Reid Blackman's "opinion piece."

A big problem is that Peltiers do wear out. Perhaps driving them at gentle voltages increases their lifetime; would increase cost of the product though as more peltier coolers would be needed.

Most of these generated poems are quite bad. But once in a while the AI comes up with a brilliant short poem. --edit, likely not AI. A bipedal wrote this.

Luckily most of them are low severity. Of the high severity (four of these), they are all 2021 CVE's, and seem to be PSP related, meaning also that actors were given plenty of time to milk these. Keep those non PSP old computers going.

Given that the number of transistors per square mm is now so ridiculously mind boggling, and how many cores you can easily fit onto a 100mm2 budget die (on 5 or 6nm, more so on 3nm) AMD really needs to get with the times and rethink SMT, an
