Well, I'm not sure about XSS, but imagine you know someone's home IP is: 192.168.1.10 Based on this, you can probably guess the router is 192.168.1.1 and maybe even have a clue about the vendor based on the IP assigning patterns.

I've always felt there should be a conference for bug hunting. All talks about bugs, how they were solved, dead ends attempted, tools/techniques used to diagnose, etc. Would be really useful to see how other people approach debugg

For probably almost every website/webapp in the world, the amount of servers you have is 1. Facebook is not a typical application. Besides, code is written for more than just websites. Chef/puppet/cfengine, one-off scripts you write, etc. T
