as a very broad shouldered individual, I suspect I will viscerally hate those "wings" on the seat if I ever encounter them. That small woman looks quite comfortable in the photos, but what about a 2m tall man?

It's in there! Scroll down to the "On-demand activation" section of the settings for your connection

Yeah it seems like there are. I guess to a layman user there don't appear to be, because they're in hidden directories? But also how many layman users are going to crypto exchanges on a mac?
817.
by chadlavi 7y ago
TLDR: this probably doesn't affect you if you're not on crypto exchanges. Check if you're affected: ls /Library/LaunchDaemons/vip.unioncrypto.plist ls /Library/UnionCrypto/unioncryptoup

I noticed a HUGE battery drain with other VPN clients like PIA's app or just OpenTunnel, but either my 3 year old iPhone X has a great battery, or the battery drain from WireGuard has been unnoticeable for me.

Yep, this is what I do. It just doesn't connect when I'm connected to my home WiFi

as a developer, the use of `repo` in the title confused me for a bit

After switching to wireguard I've been really blown away at how much better the experience is on a phone than other VPN methods. It's always on on my phone as long as I'm not using my home wifi, and I just never need to think

Using this system would mean dedicating a total of at least 3x the length of each lecture to a given topic per day. With 3-4 classes per day, you wouldn't have time to do anything else and also sleep.

This. I really couldn't disagree more with the linked article on this.

Single point of anecdata: I found that using the flirc passive cooling case + putting the whole thing on its side dropped my average temp a full 20°C (from about 65° to about 45°) while running a Plex server.

Uh... isn't that just because all digits in Chinese are monosyllabic? Doesn't really have much to do with the way the number is conceptualized.

some of them are. I'm typing this on a keyboard with browns in an open plan office, and the three people who sit within two feet of me have no issue with it.
