I don't understand how Amazon has not shut this down. I went to buy one a month ago and it was already at this piratical price. Don't they actively prevent price gougers when they find them?

this isn't a mask replacement, this is a shield to protect from larger aspirated drops when giving an infected individual medical care. It's worn over a mask.

Yeah, as a business they've been amazingly resilient. I just wish the product was still fun/worthwhile.

It's sad how many mistakes they've made with foursquare along the way. The checkin thing was fun, then they moved the only fun part of the app to a mostly neglected junk drawer secondary app (Swarm) and turned the name brand app i

It's part of type enforcement for me (note: I do my work in typescript); if you never intend to redefine it, make it a const, then you'll get an error if you try to redefine it later. performance-wise, const is also around 20% fas

If this were very customizable, it would be a powerful way to hack together MVPs or even richly-interactable prototypes for user testing

Zoom would "just work" if they didn't force you to install software on your computer in the first place. If google meet can do it, zoom can too.

I don't care about price increases for non essential things, but the part that seems shameful to me is that, if I'm understanding this correctly, it also costs 3x or more to ship essential medical supplies now? That's the par

Sounds like they're rationing availability to the most cash liquid users. This is nothing more than price hikes to profit from a tragedy and it's shameful.

So, price gouging? Pretty shameful in a time like this (unless shipments of medical supplies are getting the normal rate from a few weeks ago).

You don't have the right to expose other people you interact with in life just because of your fatalistic belief system. If you and your group are completely quarantined that's one thing, but otherwise this is unconscionably irres

If they want to go be with their god, who am I to deny them? They're gonna see him sooner than they thought if they keep at it. I'll just do my best to stay far away from them.
