Wear a hat and sunglasses if you're worried about it. Pay a bum to go in and buy it for you. Wear a ski mask! I'd be far more worried about the credit card transaction and ISP log from buying this online than I would be about a ca

That's what I'm wondering, how is this any different than going to a local store and paying cash for a burner Net10 phone? You can get them for $15 and they include enough minutes for most people to get through a month, and if you

That's good. Unless, of course, somebody comes up with 6-Minute workout timer. Then you're in trouble, huh?

The mac trillian is pretty ugly and history browsing is terrible, but I use it. I use it for one single reason: it's the only chat client I've found that can sync between multiple devices. I fire it up on my mac and on my android phone, and

I think being extremely frugal is about as bad as frivolous spending (the frugal folks will hate me for this...). They're just two sides of the same coin, and the really frugal people tend to be VERY obsessive about it and stressed out from

You can, but it's going to be a high deductible plan. I just did a quick search on e-healthinsurance, for a family of 4 with 2 kids I could get coverage for $265 a month. Of course, the catch is that has a $7500 deductible and then 30% co-i

I've read his analysis before and I had the same issue. It's quite easy to retire early if you have a high income and live frugally. Unfortunately a lot of people have to live frugally just to get by. Your average middle class family couldn

I agree he sounds happy, but it's important to remember that happy means different things to different people. Life is short and you only get one shot at it, so if you get a lot of enjoyment out of a new car every 5 years, hell, go for it.

I've never had warranty issues. I had to send in my macbook pro with a 3rd party ssd and 3rd party ram for repairs, and they fixed it no problems. Even better, they swapped out my budget brand ram for OEM.

Topaz is also a really early experiment that supports a pretty small subset of ruby. I really hope it gets developed into a real, useful ruby vm but at the moment it is not even worth considering.

I'm not sure why you'd want to trade, the biggest killer would be the 8 GB non upgradable ram. Ouch. You can upgrade the macbook pro to 16GB and throw in a SSD and your complaints will be gone. And yes, this will cost a bit more than the de

I think the other thing is, a 65 year old developer would have started developing around 1970. While there were certainly people developing software back then, it was nowhere near as many as there are today, so the pool of people 65 and up

At a 7% return you'd still need about $1.5 mil. And that's assuming that your hopefully more conservative investments in retirement earn 7% a year and over that 20 year span there is not a crash... This includes about 3.5% per year for infl

I think you have to have a good balance here. I've found following a huge method or function rather complicated, but at the same time I think I find trying to track down complicated abstractions even more complicated. If you've ever stared

T-Mobile is supposedly coming out with new plans at the end of the month. If you have a family plan, $80 a month will get you a postpaid plan with unlimited minutes and texts with 500mb of data per person (2 phones). 2GB overage is $10 a mo

Anyone can retire comfortably and even early, sure. Retiring at 30 takes commitment most people aren't interested in making, however. And of course you have people like me who have no interest in retiring until I have to because I'm crazy e
