That's really not the case with C# or Go. C# has first class Linux support nowadays (minus GUI support) and using Go on windows is quite easy (I daily drive go on windows at work).

In theory it could, but that would require the lens to store the parameters for that function(which I don't believe existing lenses do). And additionally it would require a lens with a focus motor and a zoom motor (or even just feedbac

It's really not, Creative Cloud is the most pirated software suite in the world, and the company that makes it is almost universally hated by its customers.

In a crisis, an ev is probably a pretty big waste of a generator, you need to keep your fridge and freezer on for literally as long as possible.

Yep, unreal is surprisingly efficient on the graphics side of things, but it also wants 70-something GB just to install and that's before it starts setting up the graphics cache which adds another 40 GB iirc.

To be fair, the exploit chain was rather complex. Had it been more straight forward I'd be worried, but with the amount of pivoting required to make the exploit work it seems more like something even a security conscious developer coul

At least according to the TFA, it seems that the breakthrough is that they got 2.5 mJ out vs. the 2.1 mJ that was used to power the laser.

Not so conspiratorial, I don't know about AMD but companies like Samsung do sell modified SKUs (I believe mainly TVs) with generally worse processor power than their not BF counterparts. A quick Google (or HN even) search should bring

I fail to see what all the panic is about. All of the SystemD tools mentioned here (iirc) don't actually rely much on SystemD proper and especially systemd-boot and the boot stub are just SystemD in name (I use both). But regardless, t
