> mechanically you inherit all the problems from both sides Not really. The transmission is an e-CVT in hybrids which has no torque converter, the main part that breaks first in an automatic transmission. Unlike a regular CVT, the e-CVT

I wasn't alive then but my understanding was that nobody else was offering a fully integrated microcomputer at that price point (or any price point?) that could do bitmap graphics (or color bitmap graphics?) when it was released. Which

That's great, their comment should get more attention then. I was complaining that it's obviously incorrect that nobody knows what used GPUs are worth, not about latchkey. I have NO idea why anyone is upvoting a post titled "

Somehow at any given moment every possible topic to discuss on HN belongs to either the set of "it's amazing and nobody can say anything bad about it" or the set of "this thing sucks and nobody is allowed to say anything

If nobody knows what a used GPU cluster is worth it means nobody is doing anything important with GPUs - time to short everything. Do you believe it?

Speaking for AOE2, the most popular AOE version, It's not a great argument because the game takes place pre-empire, and the end of the game is intended to be when one player, the winner, is now an empire. This is evidenced by the final
