I'm reasonably sure that given access to the doorbells processor, you could, in fact, guide a spaceship to the moon. I mean, the killer advantage that the Apollo computer had in getting to the moon was the giant rocket atop which it sa

I genuinely had to double check my calendar to make sure it wasn’t April 1st. I love the fact that Tesla are moving away from the boring, middle of the road designs of their previous models. But this.... this is just hideous. It doesn’t loo

While I agree that we should be incentivising EVs in NZ, I will point out that NZ is also probably one of the least suitable countries for EVs. Most of NZ is very sparsely populated; your transport choices are basically fly or drive yoursel

As someone with only a very passing knowledge of fractals and quantum mechanics... my first thought was that I'd be surprised if there weren't fractal patterns in quantum materials. It would be insufficiently weird :)

A “lie detector”? Seriously? If you’re going to put people through this kind of system, you should have some solid science to back it up and as far as I can see, this is just some bargain basement ML agent.

I live in Christchurch, NZ. After a massive earthquake in 2011, I had high hopes that we might redesign the city for the next 100 years instead of the previous 50 (i.e. for people, not cars). Instead the city council built a few bike lanes
