I absolutely agree about the usage reports. Among other things, being professionally involved in computing (and having been professionally involved for all my adult life) skews my perspective, and it is important to see what the regular peo

Does not have to be about fear, can be about respect. Can also be about less fear (the gun being a great equalizer): for example, a frail person can be less afraid of punks. As far as your example, I am not quite sure what to make of it.

Thanks for the feedback on R. Have you felt it was more restrictive than D3 (and other technologies) or generally less comfortable to work with?

As soon as you start treating people's right as means to an end, you come to the conclusion people without rights are much more convenient means to whatever end you seek. Precisely! And I wonder why none else has made this argume

Lol indeed, however the way of lying here is different from that in Russia: the scale is different. Small scale lies are not useful and therefore are much less used (perhaps because the pay off is small and the price is larger).

You know, many people don't know that Jews form an ethnic group, not just a religion. There is a surprising lack of knowledge about our, admittedly small, but still widespread and supposedly familiar group of people.

Well, it seems like a big change. In the past, your observation (about haggling) was applicable to local elections; perhaps now it simply escalated to a larger, country-wide, scale?
