Yes, the bash script could be made more portable. Also there are some GNU-specific sed features used, but I'm sure that could be changed to be more portable as well. Python or openssl is used for some base64 encoding. I like using shel

A point system… I could add a leaderboard showing the people who have drawn the most tiles. But I worry that that would create an incentive for people to make lots of blank tiles. Do you see it differently? As for making web apps like this-
