> Could they make some bespoke LMS that works great for physics 101 at State university? That's way too narrow, though. It could be done at the department level, the university level, or the state level, right?

I don't doubt it. Bleach + ammonia is something anyone can make. But I rather suspect there are improvements to be made in the realm that are a lot easier than building a uranium enrichment centrifuge hall under a mountain.

Yes, but as with spam/phishing/abuse prevention, too much information about what does and doesn't trigger things can be very useful to attackers. An explicit error is something you can feed into another AI to find jailbreaks.

You can run OpenCV on a GPU-less Raspberry Pi or other IoT device just fine. And most IoT devices aren't doing video transcoding at all. You're making some very odd assertions in this thread.

IoT wasn't not built on "send all the data off to a hosted GenAI". It predated them by quite a few years.

None of that gets you the 100ms response time the parent poster talked about, for something like "who is at my doorbell?" real-time uses.

You don't think Steve Jobs was proud of the iPhone, despite others doing most of the actual physical work on it? I'm more than a mere typist; there's a skill to getting a usable, useful app out of an AI.
