I had a stint with VM gaming over Christmas but gave up after wasting too much time trying to bypass anti-cheat detection. My desire came from security concerns; games have a massive attack surface and running them on bare metal makes me un

Not only. I see it across all of GitHub. Spam, +1 comments, feature begging are all particularly common.

GitHub discussions used to be so much higher quality though when the platform was for professionals. Now, I see so many discussions that devolve into practically being reddit/4chan threads. Another reason to leave.

The software experience of AliPay and the other Chinese apps is absolutely terrible. My admiration for super apps quickly declined after actually using them.

The E2EE claim is BS, unless qualified by saying that the platform supports GPG-encrypted emails only. Proton makes the same claim and it’s just completely false. E2EE is not possible with existing email protocols.

So this is capable of exposing vibe coded projects contained only by Docker to the internet? Quite dangerous.

Is it? From what I hear US healthcare is good, just expensive. As long as you have money you can get the help you need. Which is the same in the UK to be fair, we just end up having to pay for both public and private healthcare.

Even countries with public healthcare struggle to provide it at a good level of quality. For instance in the UK where I'm from getting medical attention for anything less than a heart attack is difficult to impossible. Family members h

UBI is never coming man. Rich countries don’t even properly provide healthcare or take care of pensioners, let alone handing everyone a paycheck every month for doing nothing.

No, I’m just extremely averse to anything to do with JS/TS. The amount of bloat is insane and there’s a new supply chain attack every day at this point. Definition of a tire fire.

Glad to see tooling in my native language. I don’t want to touch TypeScript stuff with a ten foot pole, but sadly it seems to be the lingua franca for agentic tools. The one thing that would keep me from making the jump is CC’s auto mode.

I'm very suspicious of these same price model launches. It feels like they're benchmaxxed so they can put everyone on them and reduce their compute costs behind the scenes. If the model were genuinely better why wouldn't they

My employer went from the Max plans to Enterprise this month which was utterly stupid. We went from paying $200 per head to like $500 for some people, even more for others. For the same product. Oh well, guess we’re doing our part to prop u

Yes, this isn't even a conspiracy theory. Reddit is one of the most astroturfed of them all, besides maybe Facebook. At least Facebook has consistent moderation they're (somewhat) accountable for. Moderation on Reddit is extremely

There’s more mass manipulation AKA nudge campaigns going on than ever. Plus, there’s a market for “aged” (forgot the term they actually used) accounts that look authentic.

There's a lot going on with sandboxes and microVMs at the moment. I tried sbx but it seemed very agent oriented. I'm most excited about Microsandbox[0]. They're working on an SDK-first experience so you can build whatever app

Hate to sound elitist but the normie-ification of the internet has ruined it. I started using the internet long after the "Eternal September", and even in my lifetime the decline has been stark. To escape everything that makes the

Agents are fundamentally insecure, there’s no getting around it. You can put OpenClaw in a box but for it to do anything useful it still needs some access to the outside world, and any untrusted tokens that go into its context are a threat.

I really liked IncusOS but it still felt quite primitive compared to Proxmox. I also didn’t really like the way it bundles VMs and containers into an ‘instance’ concept, it made the UI and management via Terraform confusing. Had a lot of pr

The code that LLMs produce is just average IMO. I wouldn’t call myself an authority on clean code but I can tell when code is well structured. I prefer my hand written code over Claude or GPT’s every time. I once did an experiment where I
