This is fun! Though when I dove right in I mistakenly thought that the indicator for the correct letter was also indicating the correct position for that letter. But that was not the case. I had a weird combo and had to give up before I u

Hooray! I built the Quinn website[0] and user/high score/game tracker back in the day when I was learning PHP. The archive of that site is pretty great! Even has my own player page[1]. I found and played Quinn and really wanted to

I’m currently working my way through the Hugo award winners and am in the time of The Forever War and Gateway. I also recommend them for the most part. Rendezvous with Rama around that time is also really enjoyable.

Check out Atomic Blonde as well (for good fight scenes). There is a certain style of exhaustion about the fights in that film that I really love. I don't skip fight scenes regularly but I do also find most of them boring as hell and ha

Off topic — does anyone know more about what happened to the Kestrel project? It sounds from the note in the archived GitHub project[0] like the maintainer shut it down because a company released a similar product with the same name. Seems

Nice. Got it. A demo instance would also be helpful in this regard. I always appreciate self-hostable tools and for that use case a demo is super valuable for getting a quick understanding of “what it is” as well.

This looks really interesting but the landing page is dense. Tough to determine what this actually does (quickly). I wonder if there is an opportunity to offer a condensed introduction ahead of all the detail? The README is a little better

Are you talking about huntr.dev? (: I’ve received quite a few reports from them for my open source projects (it seems once you respond to one, everyone piles on). Some of them are invalid, duplicate, or only involve configuration of a demo

But does this person reaching out to Troy truly qualify as a “bad actor”? Maybe the attempted process of reporting the “bug” makes them an asshole but I wouldn’t go as far as bad actor. I was honestly kind of surprised to be reading this fr

Shameless plug for my caregiver support app Baby Buddy[0]. Previously a Show HN[1] as well. The app turned four years old not long ago (as did our first child!) and I'm still enjoying hacking away on it. Give it a try if you are in to

Looks very interesting -- it would be nice to have more playground/demos. Both of the front page and in the documentation (like what is on the Quick Start page, essentially).

I find the router firmware space very confusing. I’ve got a Netgear R6400 with TomatoNG. It worked well for a while but lately I seem to be having a lot of trouble with dropped connections and general sluggishness. I haven’t taken the time
