From my boy Hakim in May, 2011 - http://hakim.se/experiments/textify Not sure how the approach differs technically, but obviously a different stylistic feel per the translations. And I'm glad I read the comments and played with the zoom.

Just bought a new Macbook Pro and have recently gotten my first taste of Lion. Two words: kernel panic. Hoping for a stability boost on this one. No way my entire overpowered system should crash from running a browser, text edit, and Skyp

A small, social coding startup that hosts the Linux kernel source tree. And has a cute logo.

Holy shit ... pricing is even 95 euros. Any background on this - are they part of a group that specializes in copying success in other markets (e.g., Rocket Internet), or is it an independent startup?

Haven't read the post, but I assume it just says "unplug it, then plug it back in".

If you're IBM, that's what you bill your clients (rate card about 1/4 through): http://www-304.ibm.com/easyaccess3/fileserve?contentid=12765... I recall the SAP guys billing clients from $300-500/hr, and we often subcontracted experts at

Completely agree: prices are not set arbitrarily or via direct calculation in many cases, but are driven by marketing ($1.99) or optimization (the local pizza shop that works everything out to even $ or 50c).

What's crazy is that kids today won't have music passed down to them per this trend. The license to your iTunes music collection ends with your life as per the Apple ToS (seriously). I don't want to buy licenses. Can we please buy things

Agreed this report comes across a bit underwhelming, but the integrated GPU boost is really what I've been waiting for. And it's more power efficient to boot. I don't play games, but I do have a crazy-big monitor and want a bit more oomph

Nice, quality imagery on the demo pages. And looks like they have a pretty full feature set already available. But the title is rather telling - do they make a compelling argument why I want Google Hangouts without Google? Do you hate usi

First thing I noticed is that they ripped off the Apple-Command key design for their logo. Couldn't find anything about copyright/trademark on the symbol ... anyone know if it was used prior to Apple (or is in the public domain)?

Ignoring the issue/apology, I find it incredibly off-putting that the designer who got up in arms about a racy video promoting Geeklist promotes t-shirts with a pantless woman on her home, FAQ, and Pricing pages: http://www.designlikewhoa.
