This guy's requests for deletion look to be automated and on a massive scale. I can't agree that what he's doing is remotely appropriate, and while it's not an attack on node.js specifically, it's definitely an attack on the computing part

I put my email in at least a month ago and have never heard anything, so I'm skeptical they're adding beta users very fast if at all. There's an awful lot of python hosting startups now, and I suspect the small, slow-moving ones are going t

I have a fair few less tech savvy Facebook friends who do indeed use FB Notes as a "blog" - one that people not logged into FB can't even see.

After reading that, I double-checked, and I do see the rendering problem in some sites - I don't use Windows much, luckily. Looks like for most people the problem is that FF4 is now using direct2d DirectWrite for font rendering where availa

Only extensions I had that weren't updated for FF4 were ones that were just not being actively developed anyway (eg, the Delicious plugin). It was probably time to drop those anyway. FF4 has tons of improvements, I'm incredibly glad I updat

OpenGL on Java is still pretty immature. There's still plenty of issues with the library Minecraft uses, LJWGL, especially on Mac and Linux. Support for OpenGL itself on non-Windows OSes is also often lacking, especially on ATI or Intel gra

Yes, there's definitely some inefficient code - but voxel-type games like this are also legitimately computationally difficult. Just because it looks like pixels doesn't mean it's simple to run. There are occasional engine improvements, but

Kind of a bummer that they require an ARMv7 processor - won't install on lower-end but still very decent models like LG Optimus S/V.

Yes? If you pay any attention at all to anecdotal reports, it very obviously makes a big difference for a lot of people. Anecdotal reports are what the OP is railing against though, I guess.

Anyone can learn to write well, though. A company blog is maybe not the place to be learning, though - if you have the time, probably better to start with a personal/non-professional blog.

My alma mata's IT department offered a single PHP course - the CS and SE departments didn't offer anything remotely web-related, short of a graduate-level course on XML parsing. I was desperate, so I took it. Man, was it terrible. I learned

Sort of - the Lawrence Journal-World built a CMS and then split it into the newspaper-specific part ( http://www.ellingtoncms.com/ ) and the more general part (Django). This Armstrong looks to be directly competing with Ellington.
