My company was the target of a rather interesting office 365 hack. I would not be surprised if the hackers gained access to the Treasury the same way. A link sent from an existing trusted sender was sent to one of our employees from a vendo

Agreed. I would love to leverage REGEX! Excel formulas have long been too hard to comprehend if you were not the original author... and even if you did author it, 4 weeks later you won’t remember how it worked without a half hour of review!

GSuite and Office 365 subscription base, while somewhat correlated to, is not equal to the usage of Excel vs Google Sheets. Highly anecdotal, but there are far more complex business processes still running in Excel that are not going to be

Yes it supports JavaScript functions that can be called in the formula bar. However Google sheets is nowhere the install base of excel, so this is a really big deal

No offense taken. I meant that if I start researching it again I’ll be up for 5 hours because of the personal ties to it. My recollection in researching this a decade ago was that the cold weather made the behavior of the rudder change (my

I mean that mac hardware is terrible for video games in general, and that at some $1.5-$3k avg price tag, "Macs" (in the hardware sense) are almost always outclassed by PCs (in the hardware sense) that are less than half their cos

Thankfully long before that. I recall Diablo 1 was released for Mac OS (9?) only a few weeks/months after PC, and Warcraft I and II had full Mac Support! Too bad the GPU race has left Macs in the dust.

Splitting hairs here, but Intel’s 60% profit margin has nothing to do with what Apple “keeps” by making their own chips. It could be dramatically more expensive to make an M1 chip and Apple is making the trade off for performance/walle

Not hard evidence, but I researched this a lot because I noticed companies I had intimate knowledge of had any sub-4 star review disappear. I detailed the practices in another comment; https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=24

Ding ding ding! Three things actually occur here. 1. Companies pay the employee who left the review if they can identify them. $1,000 to the former employee to take the review down, along with an NDA. 2. Companies push Glassdoor to validate

Perfect example of regulation having the opposite impact of its stated intent. Its 100% better to dispose of something that “maybe” recyclable, rather than “wish-recycle” it and contaminate an entire load of material.
