Docker is looking better and better... I recently decided to use Python 3.5 and Flask for a project. I didn't have time to learn them and Docker so I used a regular OS X setup. I thought the setup wasn't that bad until I had to sh

Maybe the problem isn't the companies or industry but the markets themselves. Going public isn't needed anymore. So why bother? Using publicly traded companies as a market radar is flawed.

3.5 years for an API, that's decently long, but dependent on industry. What does your upgrade path look like? Are you basically rewriting everything into ES6, aka starting over? Three years isn't long in a corporate environment.

I started trying to use Lambda and found a few immediate issues. 1) It does not work with anything inside VPC. EG: RDS Databases cannot be used. This severely limits why you'd use this on AWS for larger apps. 2) Trying to get it workin

I recently looked at using Node for a simple API backend. ES6 seems like it's not there yet, the stability of Node makes me wary. Constant changes seem exhausting to keep up with. For a simple microservice api you don't want to be

Brilliant thinking on your feet of taking a problem and turning it on its head, still as a team. When a good group of developers get together the things that can be achieved are incredible. Well done!

It's good to have options. The takeaway I'm getting from this story, and Mattermost, is: 1. Export your critical data from SaaS services if you're business cannot exists without them. 2. Test that this works before putting ye

I think the concept is interesting but needs some tweaking. The main issue with any core downtown is space. There simply isn't any available, for anyone. The space that is available is extremely costly so we need to think outside the b

Could be a MBP replacement for developers. The only thing is those of us running on OS X, how is Windows 10? I love my command line and linux like commands and tools. - Homebrew - Bash scripts - Docker (Windows 10 currently not supported)

This sounds like ModSecurity - AWS style. The problem with WAF has always been ensuring you have a good ruleset. You need to be extremely careful with aggressive rules or you can break your application in area's you don't expect.
