Such a great question. There are many deep answers here, but i think it can be summarized concisely. Boundless humility, boundless honesty to yourself and your peers, boundless curiosity, and of course a passion to find programming nirvana

Zero interest. BTDT (php). Static analysis, local testing, refactors, bulk changes delivered atomically (transactions, if you will) are missing critical features with this type of pattern. Great for hacking around, but not for making someth

You can put node into debug mode after launch (SIGUSR1) and remote debug it as well, with sources, which is really incredible. This BEAM demo is rad, but chrome/v8 debug is actually really good too if you take the time to learn all the

Let me save you the click. This website doesn’t show you anything about the product. It’s more or less just an ad with no explanation/demo of the concrete tool/process. Further access to the tool is hidden behind an email signup.

I was fairly sure we all are :) It’s seemingly found its part in the common web devs toolbelt. Perhaps not universally adopted, I believe it’s still regularly applied to systems with non-trivially large clients/fe-apps.

There’s a curve. Stringy, declarative DSLs have high utility when used in linear, unconditional, stateless programming contexts. Adding state? Adding conditionals? Adding (more than a couple) procedure calls? These concepts perform poorly w
