I think this is actually good for privacy. We will know that companies using this service don't care about privacy, even for non-european users. We could then can design a tool detecting the use of this service and notifying the user &

First, I would prefer not to use a third party analytics that tracks user behavior and downloads / uploads things to their server while users are browsing. Especially to Google servers. All the info I need is already in the http server

The only thing that annoys me about github pages or netifly is the lack of traffic analytics (number of visits, location..). There isn't a single metric we can have access to. Cloudflare gives minimal but useful analytics

Telegram is not really open source. The server is not, and the Android code is updated months after each update, all commits being squashed(see issue[1]). Also their new app (Telegram X) is not open source. [1] https://github.com

This code is not written for production, it's just written to make you understand how the basic of this technology works. So I would say the unit tests have the exact same purpose: make the reader understand what the functions are doi

The problem is that "99% the time gives a correct result" is imprecise. It can be understood as both: - p(sick|positive) = 0.99 - p(positive|sick) = 0.99 We get totally different results, the first one is obvious (99% change of be

I'm not sure you phrased the problem correctly. If we follow your explanation, then the probability of having the disease is indeed 99%. If you want to show the implication of Bayes' Theorem then you need to be more precise : Say

GDPR is just a first step and obviously is not the whole solution to this problem. But I believe it's a necessary step, even if not perfect.

Next is passing laws to avoid those kind of problems (like GDPR). It's not sufficient to go after each shady company that sells your data.
