Protip if anybody wants to talk sports at a tech company and is finding the technical teams lacking, head on over to the Go-to-Market teams; knowing what's going on in whatever sport is in season is basically in their job description.

So if Apple relented and added a touchscreen to their laptops you'd be all set?

>First, you need to factor a cost of living adjustment. Oregon seems a bit more expensive than the Netherlands. Bay Area is a lot more expensive than Oregon. This doesn't gel with my experience at all and the numbers don't bear

I'm curious where he drew that number from.

This doesn't appear to be inflation adjusted, at least I saw no mention of it. Quick math below based on BLS's inflation calculator. Year Starting $ Inflation Inflation adjusted to 2018 2000 $48,000 1.50 $67,500 2001 $6

Which parts get in your way? I much prefer the previous gen to current default settings but I've found that you can largely emulate the previous gen even if it's not perfect.

That's awesome, I didn't know WeChat already had this. Just gotta wait for Square to catch up!

Could you clarify this comment? It doesn't immediately make sense on the surface. Who's being racist and why?

We need to first make sure we're all talking about the same problem. When people complain about the homeless of San Francisco it is not the people Doreen is taking about. The people in question are severely mentally ill, addicts, likel

Depending upon the state a few ounces of weed could get him locked away for far longer than it would take to get his mental illness under control. That to me starkly calls out the hypocrisy.

Almost, but go further. QR code on your table, open Square Cash app and pay directly from your phone and automatically divvy up bills between guests.

Completely agree that the lack of easy repair is a valid criticism of the Essential phone.
765.
by cco 8y ago
The Essential phone handily beats OnePlus at $500 or $450. It was priced at $750 I believe on launch and failed completely there. Essential also seemingly spent a lot of time, money, and internal phone volume on their add on feature. A comp

That's an interesting opinion that differs from my item. My impression to all software costs, not just this one, is, "Wow, software is just so damn cheap!" Compared to any physical project or product software is by comparison

You have to pay them as much as it would cost to manufacture in the Western country doing the out-sourcing...so unless the cost of these extra quality checks outweighs the cost of on-shoring you might as well measure angular momentum. Madne

I would also support drone manufacturers self regulating via GPS deadzones in designated no fly areas. Nearly all drones of a meaningful size are GPS enabled and could be disabled in range of a no fly zone. Yes it could be spoofed, yes it w

Exactly correct, I have similar issues to your girlfriend but continue on with my personal machine on Linux. However these driver issues prevent me from ever recommending Linux to anyone else, it's a very poor UX.
