Let's place the blame where it lies -- with this idiot judge. If a plaintiff has a legitimate case, and the goverment has a legitimate reason for secrecy, then it's the job of the judge to navigate these waters so justice is done.

Can someone explain to me where all of the eroded topsoil goes? It doesn't just blow away. It goes somewhere. Conservation of matter, right? If it ends up as sludge in a lake or river, can't we dredge and get it back? Yes, I know

Ok, this is a big problem. We've started a project that uses their fdb-sql-parser, which was an Apache-licensed fork of the Derby sql parser. I did not make a clone of it before they pulled it. Does anyone have a copy? Fortunately, the

Keep in mind that an enormous amount of business is done through personal relationships. Future job offers, sales, and other opportunities will come from people you have worked with in the past and who respect you. So, focus on that. Keep t

This looks really cool, but I'm having a tough time using it from within a Java app. My knowledge of Clojure is very limited, but it appears to run on the JVM and should work. It installs via Maven just fine. Running it, however, is cu

One reason to not use GET to modify server state is that bots and crawlers may hit your api. They almost universally use GET and not POST.

The most famous similar case is that of Phineas Gage. The brain injuries he suffered were of enormous importance to science. The whole story is fascinating. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phineas_Gage

When you lemmatize, what are you doing exactly? Are you merely reducing words to a more common form, thereby reducing IDF? For example, are you reducing "walking" or "walked" to "walk", and then using the IDF o

Maybe this is naive, but wouldn't it have made more sense to do a bunch of smaller cp commands? Like sweep through the directory structure and do one cp per directory? Or find some other way to limit the number of files copied per comm
