I recall in the mid/late 2000's implementing a markov text generator to create thousands of static html pages based on certain keywords. This has been a problem for over a decade and will probably get worse as text generation tool

A big reason is likely so they can place ads in your feeds while using the app and avoid ad blocking extensions, push notifications, etc. For mobile usage I use the third party app, Apollo[1], highly recommended. For desktop I use a couple

AFAIK, it works the same online as your typical magnetic strip card, however, it's associated with a PIN which likely (hopefully) isn't stored by the merchant. Similar to a card security code (CVV). Otherwise, offline you place it
