FYI, Kagi has Assistant, the chat interface that do the search and summary for you, and you can custom it, limit the search scope.

Beside search, I found out assistant is worth trying.

On Kagi, you can create custom assistant with customized prompt, LLM agent and lens. It's powerful to retrieve knowledge on a specific domain.

I guess the Rust rewrite is the exit path of the Bun's author so that the others could "handle" the code base.

you choose to limit your freedom on the public transportation, others don't. The freedom lies in the alternatives, people could choose different lifestyles, that's freedom.

Adding to this, it would be amazing if the background noise will be louder when the door is open together with the sound on that station.

giving up your freedom to limit others in the name of safety seems unwise. too much control creates a generation behave like the kids.

I think average familiy could do better at financing so that they can affort to plan for 1 month or more on groceries. For me, it's not about rich, it's about planning, I must know exactly what I need before I go there. It save ti

I will clarify, at the same price, the MacBook is good at: display, instant performance and battery life, trackpad, webcam, sound and microphones, build quality. My workload: web development, video call, running VM. I basically could not fi

I use MacBook anyway, this project brings open platform to my MacBook, I'm happy with that. I guess many people have the same situation like me. I don't use other laptop because their hardwares aren't comparable to MacBook.

You can self host every component in the stack. You can create a new one for your use case.

Compare to the number of users, that is not many, but still more than 3000. https://blue.mackuba.eu/directory/pdses

> And every blue-stodon instance would have to scrape every single PDS. So it's a much much worse O(n²) issue, isn't it? They could rely on some relays to build their AppViews. The flexibility is already there.

We could develop an all in one stack that handle relay, AppView and iOS / Andriod / Web apps to serve small communities and have the Mastodon instance vibe, except one identity could appear on different instances at the same time.

Yeah, I have the same understanding. On Mastodon, an instance is an all on one package. On Bluesky, each component can be deployed separately. The nuance is Bluesky PBC own the Bluesky (iOS, Android, Web) apps, the AppView and the default P

I could see "Bluesky AppView" has similar semantic as Mastodon instance: network, moderation... The difference is on ATProto, when I get banned, people must switch to another "AppView instance" (could be reusing the same

How can people control the comments about their blog post on Hacker News? I think my example is closer to what happen in PDS and App View.

One thing I like about the ATProto is the stable identity, I could change the hosting as the author did recently and the other users see no difference. The one down side of the system is the cost. It's cheap to host a PDS but expensive

I found the distinction and comparison about Mastodon and ATProto are necessary. The fediverse model is easier to understand given existing social networks. ATProto is a novel concept that give users data sovereign and also the scalability
