Does that CSS rule let you browse through all the results for a particular search? For example, if I wanted to watch, say, all 50,000 videos of people reacting to the new Zelda, I could just keep scrolling?

I have a question for serious math nerds: are there degrees of never repeating? Like if you think of repetitiousness like escape velocity, as you get less repetitious the number of digits between repeats increases until it hits infinity, ak

Do you think that this warrants discretion? I don't, but the powers that be do. If you read the occasional submission with that site that documents HN's behaviors that aren't listed on an HN page, you'll see it lists

To be fair, it won't look like the Firefox logo anymore when Firefox gets done changing its logo into an orange and purple smear.

Can't say I'm a fan. The old logo was a bird carrying a letter, delivering it to you. The new one is a bird, but with a big furry tail, playing with a letter like a ball. It's just the Firefox logo but blue. You know just bec

Yeah I wish we got to see both instead of just the current balance. You'll notice your comments do better at first and then drop later, I suspect because some interests have google alerts or the like set up. I started getting muted a l

I never bothered remembering my password or using a real e-mail address so each of my devices has their own HN account. I've noticed my flags and vouches have a more immediate effect with the account with the most karma than they do on

The comments that earn karma are really 50/50 between if I get flagged or suddenly get 50 upvotes. Always a fun time when you get flagged and personally reprimanded by dang but your comment is tremendously upvoted.

I am more than capable of finding spiders beautiful and panicking when one crawls onto me.

From personal experience, knowing a daddy long-legs isn't dangerous or even technically a spider doesn't help when one crawls out of your bike helmet onto your face.

I'm boring. I always just name my computers their CPU name. Like my previous desktop before my current one was "4670K".

I have serious doubt there were any tablets shipping with Android 4 that used a resistive screen. At least not any that didn't come from some no-name manufacturer for eighty bucks.

Having spent most of my ChatGPT time trying to get it to correctly write powershell/batch scripts to do different things in Windows, I will be fucking amazed if this button actually does half the things you tell it to.

I'm excited to see where this goes but needing two 1w Airjet Minis to cool one 7w CPU is a pretty terrible power ratio. I'm sure the 1.7 watt fan in my Win Max 2 is much louder, but it can cool a 35W APU.

I wonder if AI will ever scale down to personal hardware, or if every step from here forward is going to rely on an internet connection forever. I don't like the idea of never having real control.

My personal experience with it is game emulators that reset your customized control layouts and such but I imagine it could work for other sorts of apps.

Heavy water hydrogen bonds are a couple percent stronger because the molecules themselves are very slightly smaller. Smaller molecules result in a shorter range of vibration at a given temperature, hence less inherent "fighting" o

The toxicity of heavy water is not related to its molecular weight, rather to the difference in strength of its hydrogen bonds.

Right, and the problem with water rights seniority is that the amounts were allocated based on 16.5 million acre-feet per year when the modern average annual flow is 11 million acre-feet.
